Non-equity performers/theatre-makers (all genders/ages/backgrounds) for Casa de Pessoa, a new theatre piece that explores the poetry and heteronyms (different literary personalities) of Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa.

Rehearsals begin early August (flexible dates).
Performances: August 23, 24, 26.

We use audience participation and environmental theatre techniques (performance space: an apartment on NYC’s Upper West Side) to blur the lines between fiction/reality and to draw comparisons between Pessoa’s art-making and the way we all split our personalities among friendships, online profiles, work, and more.

The script is written–in pencil, not stone. We want our ensemble to feel free to bring erasers. We’re looking for funky, curious, language-loving, physically-engaged artists who live for theatrical experimentation, ensemble-based work, can both take and give criticism, and love playfully creating art.

A small stipend is available for actors.

No monologues necessary; we’ll tell you what to do when you get there.
